Finding the right mouse sensitivity feels harder than it should. You tweak sliders, copy pro settings, and still, something feels off in game. The problem is not effort. The problem is guessing. Sensitivity needs structure, not trial and error.

The latest Aimlabs YouTube guide starts by removing the guesswork. It breaks down common sensitivity ranges used across popular shooters and explains why those ranges exist. For example, faster games tend to favor higher sensitivity. Tactical shooters reward control and precision. Seeing these ranges side by side gives you a clear starting point instead of a random number.

The guide uses cm/360 as the foundation. This measures how far your mouse travels to complete a full rotation. Cm per 360 stays consistent across games and DPI settings. This makes it easier to compare sensitivities and build mouse control that transfers between titles.

The video covers a wide range of games including VALORANT, Counter Strike 2, Rainbow Six Siege, Fortnite, Call of Duty, Battlefield 6, Overwatch 2, Marvel Rivals, and Apex Legends. Each section explains how movement, engagement distance, and pacing influence sensitivity choices. From there, the guide walks you through narrowing your range based on your playstyle.

By the end, the goal stays simple. You stop thinking about your sensitivity during fights. Your crosshair moves with intent. If you want a repeatable way to lock in a sens you trust, this guide gives you a clear path forward!

Jumping into the latest Call of Duty and want an aim training routine that will get you up to speed as quickly as possible? The Call of Duty Aim Basics Routine gives you a clear path to stronger performance in Black Ops 7 or any COD title. The routine is focused on training the core aiming techniques used across throughout Call of Duty, and has been designed to target raw speed, 360 degree target switching, and precise flicking. Each section reflects common Call of Duty engagements like fast camera turns, wide angle threats, and quick reaction shots. You build habits that translate directly to real matches.

Click Here to start the Call of Duty Aim Basics Routine in Aimlabs!

This routine works as a daily training block or a warm-up before jumping into your matches. The full playlist runs around 24 minutes and fits cleanly into any session. New Aimlabs players get a simple entry point built around Call of Duty fundamentals, and experienced trainers get a playlist that focuses on the key categories that they’ll apply on the server. The final scenarios shift toward game focused reps with added emphasis on sniping mechanics, ensuring that you finish the routine feeling locked in, reactive, and ready to take fights.

Raw Speed:

Speedwitch 90 COD – This speed switching scenario features three large targets in a very cramped space. It’s great as a quick warmup and to train very fast, small flicks. Since the goal of this task is to go as fast as possible, it lasts 45 seconds. ADS is optional.

Speedwitch 180 COD – The second speed switching scenario on the routine, featuring five big targets in a wide map. A great continuation of the previous scenario, as it keeps the target size but now forces the player to make wider flicks and be more aware of target positioning. Since the goal of this task is to go as fast as possible, it lasts 45 seconds. ADS is optional.

Skyswitch EVO COD – The final task in this section, featuring four targets in a wide and deep arena. The targets start big and get smaller as you eliminate them. This is the most important scenario in this section, as it helps players push their speed and then retain it as they transition into smaller targets the better they perform. ADS is optional.

360 Switching:

Horizontal Switch COD – This is a target switching scenario featuring a number of humanoid targets. This task trains quick horizontal flicking in a full 360 degree arena. Headshots will deal more damage to the target, with ADS and player movement being optional.

Smoothswitch COD – The second task in the 360 section features several targets that fly gently around the player. This is a more tracking focused task compared to the previous entries on the routine, with it being meant to introduce a smoother, more controlled playstyle rather than focusing on flashy flicks. The targets will also regenerate their health, which means players will need to fully eliminate each target before moving on to the next. ADS and player movement are both optional.

Controlswitch COD – This task features several targets that are flying evasively around the player. This is the most tracking-focused scenario in the routine. It also features health regeneration, meaning the player must focus on fully eliminating each target before switching to another one. ADS and player movement are optional.

Precise Flicking:

Dotswitch COD – A static switching task with low time-to-kill (TTK) targets. This task is good for training precise flicking and the ability to chain eliminations in quick succession. It’s useful for practicing wide flicks and landing shots on targets that are far away.

Strafeshot Multi COD – This is a dynamic flicking task featuring five targets that are strafing in the air, and require three shots to eliminate. This is a great representation for precision based weapons that require more than one shot to kill, such as pistols or DMRs.

Game Specific:

Snipershot COD – The first sniping focused task on the playlist, this is a static flicking scenario that features four small targets in a narrow play space, requiring players to ADS. This will be useful for training proper flicking techniques while sniping targets in the distance, emulating sniper duels.

Reflex Sniper COD – The final task of the routine, this is a reflex flicking scenario that features a deep corridor with a target randomly spawning from side to side. The faster that you eliminate each target, the more points you’ll earn, and if you fail to eliminate the target fast enough, it will despawn and remove points. This task replicates holding sniper lines and reacting to enemies who are peeking you.

Practice your switching to deal with overwhelming odds!

Call of Duty is a game built on the concept of constant action, where you can lay back after a long day and just hop into a lobby and shoot things, which is the reason we all love the CoD franchise. Part of this constant action means that you will find yourself facing off against multiple foes simultaneously in your line of sight, something you must learn to deal with if you want to come out on top in your lobby’s scoreboards.

Switching is the art of transferring your aim from one target to another, this mechanic is critical in scenarios where you have to deal with more than one target in your line of sight, an occurrence that is quite common in CoD, regardless of your gamemode of choice. If your switching mechanics are sub-par and you find yourself facing off against multiple opponents, you’re pretty much done for. Learn to precisely transfer your aim from one target to another and you will be able to take out multiple opponents without even having to reload your mag!

This task will train your ability to switch between targets quickly, strengthening your ability in scenarios where you’re facing multiple enemies at once, pressuring you to take them down consecutively as fast as possible.

Pillswitch Advanced on Aimlabs

The task pits you against multiple pill shaped targets that move in long strafes. While the targets are all, they are fairly narrow and move quickly so you will need to lean on your tracking skills as well as your quick flicks target to target to maximize your score. The targets TTK should not be too unfamiliar for you if you’re used to playing shooters.

Play VT Pillswitch Advanced

You may want to play through the task a number of times to set in the approach, and revisit it as needed to warm up your aim and switching ability. Good luck out there!

Call of Duty is known to be one of the most action fueled, constantly engaging shooters in its genre, having maintained an active player-base for over two decades. Black Ops 7 is the perfect game to fire up after a long day, jump into your favorite game mode whether it’s Multiplayer or Warzone, and stack up kill after kill after kill.

Due to the chaotic nature of the game, you will constantly find yourself in situations where you are facing off against multiple opponents in your line of sight, due to this reason it is absolutely crucial that you learn to not only switch from target to target, but do so as quickly as possible. If you want to stay alive long enough to call in your destructive killstreaks, you will need to learn to deal with high pressure situations, swiftly eliminating multiple targets within mere seconds. In order to do this, you will need to train your speed switching skills, gaining the speed you need to move your right thumbstick swiftly and precisely.

The featured task for this lesson will train your ability to time transfer across opponents swiftly, strengthening your ability to overcome the aforementioned scenarios in Black Ops 7, where you will find yourself facing off against multiple enemies simultaneously!

Reachswitch

The task spawns a target that pressures you by getting closer and closer, shoot the target as quickly as possible before the target despawns, switching to the newly spawned target as quickly as you can once it spawns. Flick quickly, and correct your aim as you’re shooting the target, developing your accuracy in line with your speed as you go through your reps in the task.

The post A Quick Explainer on cm/360, and the Common cm/360 by Game! appeared first on Aimlabs.com Articles.

]]>
You keep seeing players talk about cm/360. You want to understand what it means and how it helps. Here is a quick breakdown, but with a more natural flow.

cm/360 means how many centimeters your mouse moves on your mousepad to complete a full 360 degree turn in game. Move your mouse from one edge of your pad to the other. If that distance spins your camera in a full circle, that distance is your cm/360.

Lower sensitivity means you need to move your mouse more, so your cm/360 number is higher. Higher sensitivity means less physical movement, so your cm/360 number is lower.

Players started using cm/360 because sensitivity numbers do not match across games. Even players with the same sensitivity setting in two games feel something different because DPI, FOV, and game engines are not the same. cm/360 gives you one physical number you can use everywhere. It describes how your aim feels in your hand, not only on your screen.

This matters when you start aim training. Many new players ask if their sensitivity is too high or too low. There is no single answer because your best sensitivity depends on your mouse, mousepad size, desk space, posture, and comfort. But there are common ranges that help you choose a smart starting point. From there, you adjust based on control, comfort, and performance.

Let’s take a look at the common cm/360 ranges, collected by our friends at Voltaic.

Common cm/360 Ranges

Overwatch 2 and Marvel Rivals

Hero dependent
Common range: 20 to 60 cm
Recommended: 35 cm

While Call of Duty is generally reliant on tracking and switching mechanics due to a combination of a relatively high time to kill (especially in Warzone) and the fact that you will primarily be using automatic weapons, flicking is definitely still in the equation.

Flicking in Call of Duty makes an appearance as a mechanic primarily in situations where you are using a non-automatic weapon, such as marksman rifles, sniper rifles, or certain pistols. Being able to land the first shot consistently when using weapons in these categories is critical to your performance on the battlefield.

If you enjoy playing Warzone, you already know that the use of sniper rifles can be a game changer. If you want to be efficient in using these long-range killing machines, you will need to refine your flicking skills, ensuring that you are able to consistently land that first shot. A well timed sniper shot can quickly down an opponent and give your teammates the opening they need to push into enemy territory, on the contrary, missing a shot or aiming too low can give away your position while simultaneously allowing your opponents to quickly shield up and take cover before you can close in on them.

This featured will train your ability to time your shots and flick at targets consistently, strengthening your ability to overcome the aforementioned scenarios in Black Ops 7, where you will have to make the best out of these weapons classes.

VT Paceshot Novice on Aimlabs

The task features two evasive targets that are moving at the end of a long corridor. Work on maintaining your accuracy as you flick, before taking a split second to adjust your crosshair to ensure that it’s still on the moving target. You may want to track the target for a moment before clicking, building up speed after a few reps of this motion until it feels fluid.

Play VT Paceshot Novice

Mastering the skill of flicking in a game like Call of Duty is highly important, not just in scenarios where you’re using a sniper rifle, but as a fundamental mechanic of any shooter. Lack of well established flicking mechanics will lead to a number of missed opportunities in your aim duels, but don’t worry, with proper training flicking in CoD will come as second nature to you in no time.

Here's how you can ensure a strong mechanical baseline!

The post How You Can Master Extended Tracking for Black Ops 7 appeared first on Aimlabs.com Articles.

]]>
In the fast-paced world of Call of Duty, mastering extended tracking is essential for players who want to excel in the variety of gamemodes the title has to offer.

Beyond basic target acquisition, extended tracking involves maintaining precise aim on a moving target over time, even amidst chaotic gunfights or foes engaging in evasive maneuvers, trying their best to throw your aim off.

In COD, enemies often move unpredictably and maps are filled with a multitude of objects that can be used for cover, quick flicks or short bursts of damage often aren’t enough to send your opponent to the gulag. Extended tracking is crucial for consistently landing shots on your target, ensuring that you deal the sustained damage necessary to come out on top in your aim duels. In Warzone especially, quick eliminations are key, preventing your opponents from recovering after being knocked and sending you and your  team back to the lobby!

Our featured task will aim to strengthen your ability to track a moving target over an extended period of time, preparing you to shred your opponents’ armor plates in Warzone or swiftly eliminate a set of enemies as quickly as possible.

You will track a target that is strafing horizontally around you. Work on minimizing the amount of time that your crosshair is off of the target by reacting quickly when the target changes direction. Avoid tying to predict the directional changes, as they occur at random intervals. Focus on maintaining your accuracy and adjust only when needed.

COD - rA Strafetrack

Play COD – rA Strafetrack

Extended tracking is the key to consistently damaging fast-moving enemies, ensuring they can’t escape, recover, and re-engage, turning the tables on you. By honing this fundamental mechanic, you’ll be able to maintain accuracy upon agile opponents, maximizing your damage output and securing more kills regardless of your gamemode of choice.
