Finding the right mouse sensitivity feels harder than it should. You tweak sliders, copy pro settings, and still, something feels off in game. The problem is not effort. The problem is guessing. Sensitivity needs structure, not trial and error.

The latest Aimlabs YouTube guide starts by removing the guesswork. It breaks down common sensitivity ranges used across popular shooters and explains why those ranges exist. For example, faster games tend to favor higher sensitivity. Tactical shooters reward control and precision. Seeing these ranges side by side gives you a clear starting point instead of a random number.

The guide uses cm/360 as the foundation. This measures how far your mouse travels to complete a full rotation. Cm per 360 stays consistent across games and DPI settings. This makes it easier to compare sensitivities and build mouse control that transfers between titles.

The video covers a wide range of games including VALORANT, Counter Strike 2, Rainbow Six Siege, Fortnite, Call of Duty, Battlefield 6, Overwatch 2, Marvel Rivals, and Apex Legends. Each section explains how movement, engagement distance, and pacing influence sensitivity choices. From there, the guide walks you through narrowing your range based on your playstyle.

By the end, the goal stays simple. You stop thinking about your sensitivity during fights. Your crosshair moves with intent. If you want a repeatable way to lock in a sens you trust, this guide gives you a clear path forward!

The Marvel Rivals Aim Basics Routine gives you a focused way to train aim for fast paced third person fights. Similar to the other Aim Basics Routines, you will work on the core aiming techniques that players most commonly utilize in Marvel Rivals. The routine centers on flicking, smooth target switching, precise tracking, and reactive tracking. Each section mirrors in-game scenarios like airborne enemies, sudden direction changes, and rapid movement abilities, with a playlist that is designed to help you build control and consistency while staying comfortable with the third person camera.

This routine works as a daily training session or a warmup before you queue. The full playlist runs about 24 minutes and fits easily into your schedule, while also working as an on-ramp to provide new Aimlabs players get a clear entry point built around Marvel Rivals fundamentals. The routine flows through four structured sections so you stay focused without getting overloaded, giving you the opportunity to finish up feeling sharper, more controlled, and ready to handle chaotic fights.

Multishot from the Marvel Rivals Aim Basics Routine on Aimlabs

Flicking:

Adjustshot 4 Targets Rivals – Features four targets placed on a wide wall with no depth. The targets are not fully static, as they have slight and gentle movement. This makes the scenario very effective for practicing proper flicking technique, combining a strong initial flick with controlled microcorrections caused by the subtle target motion. It includes an optional sniper ADS overlay, making it suitable for training a wide range of hitscan flicking heroes, such as Star-Lord or Black Widow.

Orbshot Rivals – The next flicking task features several gently flying targets positioned above the player. This scenario is excellent for training the awkward angles you’ll run into in matches, simulating airborne heroes such as Storm, Iron Man, or the Human Torch. It also develops target reading, microcorrections, and target prioritization.

Multishot Rivals – The final flicking scenario which features five targets that must each be hit three times to be eliminated. It includes optional player movement and a sniper ADS overlay, similar to Adjustshot 4 Targets.

Smoothswitch from the Marvel Rivals Aim Basics Routine on Aimlabs

Smooth Target Switching:

Smoothswitch Rivals – This target switching scenario tasks the player with firing at several gentlly flying targets that surround the player. Compared to most switching scenarios, this one leans more toward tracking due to its higher time-to-kill. It also includes health regeneration, meaning targets must be fully eliminated before moving on to the next one. ADS and player movement are optional.

Controlswitch Rivals – The second target switching scenario, featuring evasive flying targets around the player. It is even more tracking-oriented due to the targets’ more erratic, yet still readable, movement patterns. Like Smoothswitch, it uses health regeneration, requiring full eliminations before switching targets. ADS and player movement are optional.

Controltrack Blink from the Marvel Rivals Aim Basics Routine on Aimlabs

Precise Tracking:

Flytrack Rivals – A precise tracking scenario featuring a pill-shaped target performing long strafes while flying in front of the player, mimicking heroes like Storm or Ultron. It helps develop target reading and tracking stability. Focus on smoothly following the target and avoid changing direction until the target itself does.

Controltrack Blink Rivals – The second precise tracking scenario, which features a semi-evasive target moving around the player. The target also performs random dashes, forcing the player to flick back to it in a controlled manner to continue tracking. This is highly representative of encounters against heroes with fast movement abilities, such as Spider-Man or Star-Lord. ADS is optional, and player movement is disabled to fully focus on the required aiming mechanics.

180 Blink Track from the Marvel Rivals Aim Basics Routine on Aimlabs

Reactive Tracking:

180 Blink Track Rivals – This reactive tracking scenario features a pill-shaped target that performs frequent horizontal and vertical strafes with near-instant acceleration to replicate in-game movement. The target also frequently blinks or dashes through the player, simulating heroes like Star-Lord, Angela, Venom, or Spider-Man who can force quick 180-degree turns to maintain tracking.

Fartrack Rivals Easy – The second reactive tracking scenario, featuring a pill-shaped target that uses game-like acceleration and movement. The target performs both long and short strafes at medium to long range. This scenario focuses on raw reactivity and target reading while maintaining a very authentic in-game feel.

Closetrack Rivals Easy – The final task of the routine which is similar to Fartrack, but set at a very close range. The pill-shaped target uses realistic acceleration and movement while performing long and short strafes. It emphasizes raw reactivity and target reading in close-quarters situations, closely reflecting real in-game encounters.

The post A Quick Explainer on cm/360, and the Common cm/360 by Game! appeared first on Aimlabs.com Articles.

]]>
You keep seeing players talk about cm/360. You want to understand what it means and how it helps. Here is a quick breakdown, but with a more natural flow.

cm/360 means how many centimeters your mouse moves on your mousepad to complete a full 360 degree turn in game. Move your mouse from one edge of your pad to the other. If that distance spins your camera in a full circle, that distance is your cm/360.

Lower sensitivity means you need to move your mouse more, so your cm/360 number is higher. Higher sensitivity means less physical movement, so your cm/360 number is lower.

Players started using cm/360 because sensitivity numbers do not match across games. Even players with the same sensitivity setting in two games feel something different because DPI, FOV, and game engines are not the same. cm/360 gives you one physical number you can use everywhere. It describes how your aim feels in your hand, not only on your screen.

This matters when you start aim training. Many new players ask if their sensitivity is too high or too low. There is no single answer because your best sensitivity depends on your mouse, mousepad size, desk space, posture, and comfort. But there are common ranges that help you choose a smart starting point. From there, you adjust based on control, comfort, and performance.

Let’s take a look at the common cm/360 ranges, collected by our friends at Voltaic.

Common cm/360 Ranges

Overwatch 2 and Marvel Rivals

Hero dependent
Common range: 20 to 60 cm
Recommended: 35 cm

Battlefield 6

Weapon and role dependent
Common range: 20 to 50 cm
Recommended: 40 cm

VALORANT and Counter-Strike 2

High focus on crosshair placement
Common range: 35 to 75 cm
Recommended: 50 cm

Apex Legends

Weapon and engagement style dependent
Common range: 20 to 60 cm
Recommended: 40 cm

Fortnite

Building and editing reward faster turns
Common range: 20 to 45 cm
Recommended: 30 cm

Rainbow Six Siege

Tight angles and precision
Common range: 30 to 60 cm
Recommended: 40 cm

Call of Duty Series

Fast fights and frequent rotations
Common range: 20 to 45 cm
Recommended: 35 cm

Use these ranges to guide your first setup, which you can calculate in Aimlabs, or on our sensitivity converter! Then test, experiment, and find what works best for you!

The post Train Like a Hero: Sharpen Your Aim for Marvel Rivals appeared first on Aimlabs.com Articles.

]]>
Ready to unleash your inner superhero? Whether you’re new to the hectic gameplay of Marvel Rivals or a seasoned veteran returning to the arena, this plan will help you hone the core mechanics required to dominate the server.

Marvel Rivals focuses on dynamic team combat and high-stakes hero showdowns, demanding quick reflexes, strategic thinking, and razor-sharp aim. From pulling off heroic combos to securing crucial eliminations in teamfights, this guide will focus on improving your aim in an optimal manner and take your game to the next level!

Our training plan is divided into two key categories of aim: Tracking, and Flicking prefaced by a primer on smoothness to kick things off. Each mechanic will directly enhance your performance in Marvel Rivals, preparing you to hit those critical skill shots, chain attacks seamlessly, and land headshots with pinpoint precision!

Smoothing It Out

Before diving into landing heroic combos and round-deciding aim, let’s get you warmed up with an introduction to smoothness and why it’s a cornerstone of aiming in Marvel Rivals. Smoothness is the ability to move your crosshair fluidly and consistently, avoiding jitter or “skipping” as it tracks across your screen.

Smooth aim is critical in Marvel Rivals due to the game’s fast-paced, dynamic combat that heavily relies on tracking. Whether you’re lining up a precise skill shot or tracking a high-mobility opponent, smoothness ensures your aim remains consistent. Choppy or erratic crosshair movements can cause you to miss critical opportunities, or waste precious time readjusting your aim, disadvantages you can’t afford in the heat of battle where losing an aim duel can tilt the round in favor of the opposing team.

The suggested task is designed to train your smoothness, warming up your reflexes, and laying the groundwork for the rest of your training. Focus on smooth, controlled crosshair movements as the target moves throughout the task.

Smoothing Task:

VeerTrack

Why Tracking Wins Fights

Next up is tracking, the foundation of sustained damage in Marvel Rivals. Tracking is the ability to keep your crosshair locked on a moving target, ensuring you land every shot, even against the most evasive of foes. You will be learning about two types of tracking: precise tracking, and reactive tracking.

In Marvel Rivals, tracking is crucial for any hero’s aim mechanics, especially when you’re dealing with a plethora of beam attacks, rapid-fire abilities, and ranged weapons and skillshots. Furthermore, it plays a significant role in countering high-mobility heroes who utilize abilities like dashes, temporary flight, or teleportation to escape your wrath. Effective tracking will maximize your damage output within a short time-frame and make it nearly impossible for enemies to escape your grasp.

Let’s dive further into the dichotomy of precise tracking and reactive tracking in the upcoming sections and help you attain mastery of this core skill!

Lock In on Precision Tracking

Precise tracking focuses on making small, controlled adjustments to your aim to follow more minute movements made by your enemies. This skill is particularly important when targeting enemies at range or dealing with predictable movement patterns, such as an opponent retreating in a straight line or charging forward for an attack. Due to the difference in movement mechanics and hitbox sizes across heroes in Marvel Rivals, being able to adjust precisely in order to land those high-damage headshots is critical.

Heroes with sustained-damage abilities, like Star Lord’s Element Guns, benefit immensely from precise tracking. Maintaining consistent damage output in these scenarios will help you secure eliminations and control the battlefield, especially with low damage per shot, high fire-rate abilities.

With the next tasks, work on fine-tuning your micro-adjustments during tracking, as it will give you the precision needed to excel in all of the aforementioned engagements. In the first task, you’ll work on training your ability to smoothly track a target moving horizontally as it strafes in a predictable manner. In the second task, work on precisely tracking targets that are moving both horizontally and vertically. This is going to refine your ability to deal with opponents that are able to manuever around more dynamically in Rivals.

Precise Tracking Tasks:

rA Close Fast Strafes Easy Invincible
rA ReactiveSphere Med

Tracking Under Pressure

While precise tracking is important for more predictable movements and long range engagements, reactive tracking prepares you for the chaos of close-quarters combat, where enemies move erratically to evade your attacks. Reactive tracking emphasizes sharp, rapid movements to follow abrupt shifts in movement.

In Marvel Rivals, reactive tracking is vital for countering heroes with burst mobility, like a Spider-Man swinging across the battlefield or a Black Panther dashing through you in melee range. Training this skill ensures you can stay on target even in the most intense skirmishes where directional changes are an inevitability.

The next two tasks are designed to boost your reaction time and adaptability, making you a nightmare for any of these squishy, slippery foes, and stopping them from clearing your back line. In the first task, you will hone your ability to track a target that moves reactively in a horizontal direction, which will help you accurately adapt to directional shifts, boosting your ability in aim duels. In the second task, you will train to deal with opponents that can move reactively in every direction, which will be critical to boosting your ability to dish out damage consistently against the more mobile heroes in Rivals.

Reactive Tracking Tasks:

VT PillTrack Intermediate
rA ReactiveXY Easy

Train Your Flicks for Faster Eliminations

Flicking is the art of quickly snapping your crosshair to a target and firing with precision. This skill is invaluable when landing clutch headshots while playing heroes like Hela, Black Widow, or Winter Soldier.

Flicking shines in scenarios where enemies dart in and out of cover or during high-pressure moments, making every shot counts. By mastering flicking, you’ll maximize your impact in both aim duels and your ability to take out key targets in team fights.

These remaining tasks will help you train your static flicking and dynamic flicking, covering every scenario you’ll encounter in the battlefield of Marvel Rivals. For the first task, you will practice against static targets, which is a crucial starting point for any type of flicking situation you will encounter in-game, especially with hitscan heroes. The second task will help you train your ability to land headshots, which will speed up your engagements. The final task will take your skills to the next level, as you’ll practice dealing with small targets moving at you, this is going to help you shut down those heroes who are charging at you at high speeds.

Flicking Tasks:

rA ThreeWide Small
VT PatTarget Click 1Shot
Amare Dynamic Micros Easy

There you have it, our Marvel Rivals training plan! Along the way, you’ve developed your essential skills like general smoothness, tracking, flicking, and target prioritization, preparing you for any challenge you come across in Rivals.

Easy to pick up but hard to master, The Punisher can impose a fearsome presence in Marvel Rivals. With his high-damage hitscan weaponry and ability to punish foes both from a distance with his assault rifle “adjudication“, and up close with his shotgun “deliverance“, you can dominate fights whether from afar, or up close and personal. Unlike projectile-based heroes, The Punisher delivers instant damage, just take aim, fire, and watch your foes’ health bars deplete.

Marvel Rivals Punisher

Make sure you get comfortable with your tracking mechanics so that you can dish out damage effortlessly on the battlefield.

The following custom task was designed to help you hone these specific skills, with a focus on perfecting your precision while tracking, simulating in-game combat scenarios where The Punisher’s aim is put to the test!

You can with Aimlabs!

The post Cracking Skulls as Hela in Marvel Rivals appeared first on Aimlabs.com Articles.

Hela is one of the strongest duelists in Marvel Rivals, and one of the best heroes in the game to show off your masterful aiming skills with as you dominate the battlefield!

Thanks to her blend of devastating damage, mobility, and fearsome ultimate ability, Helia is one of the strongest heroes in the game. Her primary fire is a hitscan ability called “nightsword thorns” and allows you to dish out devastating amounts of damage, especially if you can consistently land your headshots. The fact that the ability is “hitscan” means that there is no travel time for her shots, you take aim, fire, and her thorns have reached the location of your crosshair in an instant.

Paired with her excellent primary ability, Hela also comes equipped with a powerful secondary ability that fires a slew of projectiles which stick to any surface and detonate after a short period of time, dealing substantial burst damage, making it ideal against tanks. She also has the ability to swiftly morph into a crow for a brief amount of time and take you flying in the direction of your crosshair, giving her an excellent option to escape dangerous situations or pursue fleeing opponents. Hela’s ultimate “goddess of death” launches her into the air, granting her a large amount of added health points temporarily, and equipping her with missile-like projectiles that deal huge chunks of splash damage, allowing you to turn the tide in team fights.

Having covered the basics, next, we want to give you a task that you can play which will refine your head clicking skills so that you can dominate the mid-range as Hela and strike terror in your opponents!

In the latest episode of the Aimlabs Podcast, Dr. Wayne Mackey and Jimmy Lin sit down with Ivaylo “Linepro” Kolev, a former Overwatch World Cup captain, ex-VALORANT coach, and current Marvel Rivals pro. Linepro shares a decade’s worth of hard-earned wisdom across multiple esports titles, including the gritty details and emotional insights.

The episode explores everything from his early casual Counter-Strike days, his experience with League of Legends, his time coaching Valorant, and then his path into the Marvel Rivals competitive scene. The guys discuss what it takes to stay disciplined for five years straight, including 5:30 a.m. wake-ups, aim training, meditation, and cold showers, all in pursuit of mechanical excellence.

Beyond gameplay, Linepro gets personal about what drives him: childhood challenges, a search for belonging, and his transformation from validation-seeking teen to empathetic leader. His insights on team dynamics, emotional intelligence, and the power of vulnerability in esports make this episode stand out whether you’re a player, coach, casual player, or just a fan.

And of course, the conversation goes full Marvel Rivals. Linepro explains the earliest days of taking chances to build rosters, teammates going their own ways, Rivals’ long term future, and how the dev team is nailing fast content drops without sacrificing competitive depth. Linepro even breaks down the exact moment he knew this game could go big, plus his vision for a future World Cup that blends national pride with top-tier play.
